There is no point in driving yourself mad trying to stop yourself going mad. You might just as well give in and save your sanity for later.

Lolable Comics

I hurt my arm working out last week so I’ve got to be gentle with it. Which sucks, and makes doing hard works out that much harder. I only managed to get one new client last week. So this week I’m going to try and get another.

I’ve teamed up with Wild Wedge Gourmet Pizza to do a Twitter contest, which is exciting. Hopefully I get some more people coming to the site!

Goals this week

  • Burn DVD for my parents
  • Book out lights
  • Get one new client
  • Drink more tea
  • Do some Vegas Research
  • Promote my pizza blog contest

To Do:

  • Book out the lights
  • Start the contest
  • DVD authoring

Week one is complete and I’m feeling better already. There was a brief period where I was getting bad headaches but I think it was caused by a combination of lack of sleep on a nice pillow and the fact that I’ve pretty much stopped drinking pop save for drinks this weekend.

I also learned a valuable lesson on Friday morning though: EAT BREAKFAST. I didn’t eat enough on Thursday, did a hard work out and in the morning rushed to work where I usually eat my oat meal at my desk. Well I could barely make it up the stairs I had so little energy. I ended up getting a fresh fruit cup and eat an apple and survived…this time.

I even achieved all my goals for the week, which rocks. I kind of wish that when I finished a task an achievement notification would pop up in front of me a la the xbox. That would make cleaning things way more fun!

On a sour note I lost a client this week, not because of my own doing, but because this client happens to be one of those clients who thinks you should work for nothing because anyone can build a website. They don’t realize that if you want something done right you can’t just go to anyone with a laptop and a pair of black thick rimmed glasses. The mind behind those glasses has to be sharp, has to know what works, how it works, proper structure, proper syntax! That being said I cannot wait until their new website goes online, just to see how it turns out.

Goals this week

  • Find at least 2 new clients
  • Do dishes right after cooking, or failing that, right after eating
  • Plan a contest
  • Print DVD covers for my parents
  • Write more in general
  • work out every day
  • Do not take the elevator at work

To Do:

  • Complete DVD S01 EP 1-4
  • Post a pizza blog
  • Research for contest

The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.

Yesterday was incredibly unproductive. Besides helping to move a mac lab at the ND campus and being in class with students, I didn’t get anything done. When I was at the computer after work I just sighed and closed it. Couldn’t do anything, not even cook dinner. Which meant Falafel Place for dinner, which suited me just fine. AAAAANDDD we did do our workout for the day, so that is still works in my favor.

Also I need to start eating more. I know, it sounds crazy right? But this morning walking up the stairs I nearly passed out. That says to me that my body is screaming “Hey…hey…HEY! Put some more fucking calories in me dammit! I know you want to be all pretty and shit, but if you don’t put more good food in this face I’m going to drop like a stone right here…juuuust try me!” So, I’ll probably start eating more…

To Do:

  • DVD Menu for parents
  • Do Folio site update
  • Figure out how to add comments on here
  • Write a pizza blog or two
  • Research contest rules
  • Work out

Life... is like a grapefruit. It's orange and squishy, and has a few pips in it, and some folks have half a one for breakfast.

This weekend was pretty much a right off when it comes to doing anything productive. I spent more time painting my friend Reed for his Halloween costume than anything else. That being said all the Halloween activities this weekend where very fun. Friday night we hit up the Lo Pub and watched some live music and drank the night away.

Saturday we hit up Jen and Kelly’s annual Halloween party, and then it gets blurry from there. There was dancing, meat plates, double rums, and pictures taken. I got a great sleep though!

Sunday my family celebrated my bday with ham and clever birthday cards. Yes, it was a few weeks late, but when in comes to hams better late than never. That is what I always say. After the meal and some socializing Xal and I did our first work out of the new 3 month attack on fitness. It was a nice 1 hour of stretching p90x style. We decided to start with the stretching because we needed to work out that night, but after eating 50 lbs of ham, you don’t want to do pull ups.

Goals for the week:

  • Clean the bedroom
  • Clean the bathroom
  • Fix the rating system on the pizza blog
  • Finish site for SR
  • Renew my license
  • Work out every day

To Do Today:

  • Post a pizza review
  • Insert SR Logo
  • Shave
  • Buy a bus pass
  • Look into getting new passport
